Dates:  Session 1: March 7, 14, 21, 28

Session 2: April 4, 11, 18, 25

Session 3: May 9, 16, 23, 30 (no class May 2nd)

Location: Art Barn Drawing Studio

Fee: $120 for each 4 week session

These uninstructed painting sessions are a great way to practice your craft and keep your painting skills fresh. The Painting Lab is open to intermediate to advanced painters. Painting the figure can be challenging. It is incredibly helpful to work alongside other painters to share tips, ask for feedback, and learn new approaches. The monitor, Lizzy Schule, will be participating in the class but is available to provide guidance and answer questions.

Class Format

We will have two models for the four-week session in March: one model will pose for the first two Thursdays and another model will pose for the last two Thursdays. In April, we will have the same model pose for the four-week session. A different model will pose for the session in May. The models will be nude and will resume the same pose for four consecutive Thursdays each month. The monitor will attend to the lighting and setup. The models will take a short break every twenty minutes. We will reserve 15 minutes at the end of each class to talk about our work. No photography is allowed.
