Deconstructing the Short Story
In this workshop, we will review our peers’ short stories and explore the conventions of narrative. We will focus on elements such as POV, plot, narrative structure, and characterization, and our goal will be to deepen and enhance the reading experience. We will consider examples from published work, complete exercises, and come away from our time together with new tools and strategies to make our stories the best versions of themselves.
