(Winter20) Jewelry: Sea Glass Pendant/Stackable Rings

Solder & Bezel Set a Sea Glass Charm or Pendant with Cecilia Minnehan
Day: Tuesdays (special Saturday class offered on March 14th*)
Dates: January 28 // February 11 // March 3, (*Saturday March 14), 17
​(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Soldering Stackable Rings"). ​
Time: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Fee: $110.00, all class materials included. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

In one 4-hour class you will create and complete a beautiful custom sterling charm or pendant from our collection of colorful beach glass pieces appropriate for a beginner level. (Must have completed the 5-week soldering 101 class If you wish to use your own beach glass piece).
Metalsmithing skills covered in this class:
  • Soldering safety and how to light up a torch.
  • Soldering
  • Forming a bezel
  • Setting a beach glass in your hand made bezel
  • Proper use of a flexible shaft
  • Polishing options 

Dress code!
For safety reasons we ask everyone to comply with the dress code policy in the Metals Department: Closed-toe footwear (no sandals), pants/shorts must go below the knee, long hair must be pulled back from the face and secured. Wear a headband or a hat if your hair can’t be tied back. ​​
 

 
 
 
Soldering Stackable Rings with Cecilia Minnehan
*Now 4 hour class*
Day: Tuesdays
Dates: February 4, 18 // March 10
(This class is offered every other week and rotates with "Sea Glass Pendant").
Time: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee: $110 per class, includes all materials. 
No previous experience required. Minimum age 14. *Please see dress code below.

In this 4 hour class you will learn the fundamentals of soldering and be able to complete at least 2 stackable rings. Take additional classes to grow your collection!

  • Setting a stone in a pre-made bezel
  • Polishing options
