Days: Saturday & Sunday
Dates: June 20, 21
Time: 9:30am-3:30pm
Location: Art Barn Painting Studio
Fee: $350 for both days
$200 for one day

Pastel Society of America Master Pastelist, and International Association of Pastel Societies Master Circle member, Gigi Liverant, will lead students through a variety of practices to help them discover energized color relationships.  Demonstrations will be executed in pastels but are not required materials for students. Gigi will show students how to implement color dynamics to gain greater visual impact with pastels or paint mediums.

The two-day workshop is geared towards the individual artist's goals and abilities.  The first day will include demonstrations in pastel and discussion about the properties of color, followed by examples of the multiple studies employed by Gigi in her own work.  Students will then have the opportunity to explore color dynamics through studies of their own imagery. The second day will continue color exploration and provide guidance toward implementing student’s studies into unique paintings.

The color exploration will apply to all mediums using a full range of color.  Students should bring subject reference: photos, still life objects, etc. A supply list will be provided.
