Thinking Beyond Genre
In this class, we will look at hybrid form, and pushing past genre. Using texts that blur the lines between memoir, essay, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, we'll spend some time immersed in prompts that ask writers to push beyond whatever comforts they might have with the confines of genre. Also, we're going to explore how research doesn't always have to be daunting, particularly when it is setting a stage for excitement and discovery.
